The walkway of the Ezzelini Castle
The walkway of the Ezzelini Castle is opening to the public from 25 April to the end of October 2026. This is one of the most characteristic corners of Bassano del Grappa, running alongside the wall that from at least 1150 protected the church of Santa Maria in Colle and the people of Bassano.

Built with Brenta stones and brick, it consisted of an outer and inner curtain wall; the latter equipped with watchtowers, a parapet walk and battlements with arrow slits for the archers who defended the castle. The walkway now ends at one of the city’s most beautiful vantage points overlooking the Brenta river and the Palladio bridge.

There is free access to the walkway of the Ezzelini Castle every day from 10 am to 7 pm; last entrance at 6.30 pm, except TuesdaysDiscover the special openings at the link.

Visitors are requested to remain on the designated path for the entire duration of the visit.
Please note that, due to the architectural constraints of the property, the route is not accessible to visitors with mobility impairments, including wheelchair users.
