A contemporary printer’s workshop
 
On the occasion of the exhibition Renaissance in black and white. The art of printmaking in Venice (1494-1615) the Museo Civico of Bassano del Grappa, in collaboration with Giancarlo Busato, presents to the public A contemporary printer’s workshop.

The exhibition set up on the main floor of the Museo Civico brings together around thirty works that tell the story of the developments and different engraving techniques still in use. Drypoint, burin, xylography, soft wax, etching, aquatint, lithography and black manner are some of the techniques that can be discovered through the prints kindly granted by the historical archive of the Stamperia d'Arte Busato in Vicenza.

An exhibition itinerary which, in continuation of the Renaissance in black and white. The art of printmaking in Venice (1494-1615)  presents itself as a unique opportunity to explore the role of the engraving and printing arts between tradition and contemporaneity.
