Valentina is coming to the Civic Museums of Bassano del Grappa, she will be the fascinating protagonist of a completely new exhibition compared to the exhibitions that have been dedicated to her and her creator in recent years in Rome and Milan.

She is the protagonist of a normal and dreamlike life, in which the second is an escape from the difficulties of the first: a real-life marked by anorexia, hallucinations, and difficulties. A difficult everyday life that is canceled by the dream, where everything is allowed and nothing is impossible. Valentina is strong and fragile at the same time, a normal woman who is the portrait of an era, as well as the fruit of a man of genius, Guido Crepax.

The project was created by the three sons of Crepax and sees its focus in the work of a contemporary artist who is going to enhance the Remondini collections and the sixth Biennale. The last part of the exhibition dedicated to the artistic evolution of the author will be focused on Crepax’s choice of being innovative in the traditional world of comics by creating new female characters, exploring the psychological side, and his ability to make people discuss, reflect and scandalize. The first floor will be dedicated to many video contents of the author, Valentina and the latest editorial project of Crepax’s Archive: the new series with the most beautiful stories in color created for The Republic.
